The Hewitt School

The Hewitt School inspires girls and young women to become game changers and ethical leaders who forge an equitable, sustainable, and joyous future. Our program is carefully constructed around four academic pillars presence, empathy, research, and purpose that shape the way our teachers teach, our students learn, and, ultimately, the way both teachers and students live their lives: beyond the expected, beyond the easy answer, and beyond what seemed possible.

The IDEAL School of Manhattan

The IDEAL School of Manhattan is an Independent K-12 school. IDEAL is dedicated to building a diverse community based on the principles of diversity, acceptance, and excellence. We are looking for students and families who share our commitment to these core values and who believe in inclusion and social justice as the IDEAL ways to develop critical thinkers, creative and curious learners, global citizens, and proud individuals.

Our exceptional academic program is based on the core belief that students learn best when we set a high bar and scaffold the path to achievement through differentiation. In the Lower School, general educators and learning specialists co-teach in the classroom, implementing a research-based and differentiated curriculum. In the Middle School, small, seminar-style classes ensure students cultivate the lifelong learning skills they need to be independent thinkers. Our unique High School model is based on a rotating curriculum that brings students in Grades 9-12 together in intentional groups designed to challenge and support each individual learner. Learning Centers staffed by Orton-Gillingham-trained learning specialists in both the Lower and Upper Schools ensure that all students receive the extra support or challenge they need to thrive.
