Avenues: The World School
Avenues: The World School is a co-ed, independent day school serving toddlers through 12th grade. Founded with the vision to establish one school with many campuses that are intentionally connected and located in key global cities, Avenues is one highly integrated learning community, supported by a common mission, shared curriculum—including language immersion—world-class technology, and an expert faculty. Avenues is helping define a new category of school—a world school—that goes beyond what’s expected of a school today to develop the future thought leaders and innovators of tomorrow.
Avenues’ first campus opened in 2012 in New York and the second campus opened in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2018. One year later, Avenues Shenzhen opened. With the launch of Avenues Online in 2019, Avenues began to set the new standard for online education. Avenues is currently developing campuses in Silicon Valley, Shanghai, and Miami, with plans to open additional campuses around the globe.
Avenues’ innovative and rigorous curriculum continues to be shaped by expert faculty supported by our in-house R&D team. From nursery–5th grade, students grow through language immersion in either Chinese or Spanish, and from 6th–12th grade through a robust curriculum that includes signature programs such as World Course, High-Intensity Practice, Global Journeys, and the Mastery Program.
Bank Street School For Children
The Bank Street School for Children is an independent, coeducational preschool through 8th grade school in New York City. Our approach places children at the center of their own learning to help them grow as critical thinkers, problem solvers, and creators.
At Bank Street, students learn by doing. In the process, they develop a lifelong love of learning as they build the academic, social, emotional, and cognitive skills essential for success in school and life. Each child is valued as a learner and as a teacher, classmate, and member of the Bank Street community.
Lower (Preschool--Grade 1), Middle (Grades 2–4), and Upper (Grades 5–8) Schools offer a rich learning environment tailored to support children at each stage of their development. Our school is a working model of Bank Street College of Education’s approach to teaching and learning, which builds from more than a century of knowledge on children’s growth and development.
