About Collegiate School
Elementary, Middle, High School
Collegiate School, a day school with an enrollment of approximately 650 boys, is the oldest independent school in the United States.
Collegiate is divided into Lower School (Kindergarten-Grade 4), Middle School (Grades 5-8), and Upper School (Grades 9-12). Each division has its own administrative head and core faculty. Many faculty members teach in more than one division of the school. The students and faculty enjoy the advantages of a small-school environment while benefiting from the stimulation a college preparatory school can provide. The atmosphere at Collegiate is shaped by the close interaction of the student body and a sense of community within the school.
In January 2018, Collegiate opened the doors of its new facility at 301 Freedom Place South. It consists of an eleven-story building (nine stories above ground and two below ground), with 180,000 square feet of classroom, athletics, theater, music, art, library, dining, and administrative space. The School features common areas dedicated to each division that provides space for independent study, social interactions, and divisional activities.
